Do you need support for gambling as well?

We find that people who come to us for alcohol and drug counselling may also have concerns around gambling and the significance of this may not be understood or is minimised and hidden as not that important by the person and by others. By adding gambling support to your alcohol and other drugs counselling plan, you are more likely to achieve long-lasting recovery.

Your alcohol and drug counsellor has tools that can help identify your level of risk around gambling. If you want to know more, ask your Lives Lived Well counsellor about checking for the hidden impacts of gambling. They can assist you and put you in contact with the gambling intervention counsellor for specific gambling support.

Our Gambling Intervention Service is delivered to clients who are engaged with our alcohol and drug services. We have counsellors based in Brisbane, the Gold Coast, and Mackay; however our team is able to service areas in wider Queensland via telehealth. To find out more, download our flyer. For crisis support outside business hours, the National Gambling Help Line is available 24/7, phone 1800 858 858.
