Someone you love have a problem with drugs or alcohol?
Dealing alone with someone else’s problem behaviour can be overwhelming.
We run alcohol and drug support groups for family and friends who have loved ones either in treatment or still in active addiction.
There are about five groups run per year, each involving eight sessions. We can refer participants in these group to our more in depth Family Therapy program.
Whether you are concerned about your partner, child, sibling, grandchild or friend – give us a call.
WHAT DOES IT INVOLVE?
Family and friends attend a weekly support group where they gain support, learn strategies to cope and hear from others in a similar situation.
By attending a support group, you no longer have to cope alone.
Support group members are have regular access to expert support and advice and are surrounded by people who understand what they are going through.
The groups provide:
- reliable information about alcohol and other drugs
- strategies to reduce alcohol and drug-related harms
- non-judgemental support to reduce feelings of isolation and helplessness
- advice about available treatment options.
Take that first step and give us a call on 1300 727 957. Our friendly staff will talk to you about how we can best help out.
