From passion to practice
Andrew is a Treatment Facilitator at our Logan House and Logan Family Recovery residential site in Chambers Flat.
As part of their role, Treatment Facilitators develop and coordinate individualised client care plans, as well as facilitate weekly therapeutic groups.
“The most rewarding aspect of my job is supporting individuals in reclaiming control of their lives, resulting in impactful and transformative positive change in every aspect of their lives,” Andrew said.
A passion for supporting others
Andrew has always wanted to work in this field.
“It is my passion to advocate, educate and support vulnerable marginalised populations,” he said.
With nearly two years of experience at Logan House and Logan Family Recovery, Andrew brings both commitment and compassion to his work every day.
A day in the life
A typical day for Andrew involves attending clinical handovers, Clinical Governance meetings, Case Management meetings, developing and coordinating individualised client care plans, and facilitating weekly therapeutic groups.
When asked what he finds the most rewarding about his job, he said, “Walking alongside a client through their journey is a profound honour. It’s an unique privilege to witness their transformation, from the moment they enter the program to the day they complete their program. Each step of the way, we have the privilege and opportunity to celebrate their achievements, support them through their struggles, share in their victories, personal milestones, and significant breakthroughs.”
Taking every opportunity
He encourages people to explore careers at the not-for-profit, saying, “Lives Lived Well offers diverse career pathways, emphasising the chance for professional growth within a supportive and collaborative multidisciplinary team that is both authentic and exceptional.”
To unwind after work, Andrew surfs, goes to the gym, boxes and plays rugby union.
