A welcoming and supportive space for Veterans and their families
Now open!
The Veterans’ and Families’ Wellbeing Hub in Caboolture, operated by Lives Lived Well and the Vietnam Veterans Association of Australia (Queensland Branch), is a purpose-built setting that provides social and wellbeing support for veterans and their families.
Whether you need a coffee and a chat, access to wellbeing support, or you want to meet like-minded friends, you’re welcome at the Veterans’ and Families’ Wellbeing Hub.
You may be reflecting on your time in-service or you’re navigating the transition into civilian life, or perhaps you’re the family member of someone who has served. Having access to the right supports when you need them can make a real difference to health and wellbeing.
At the Hub, you can:
- connect with fellow veterans and veteran families
- access integrated and flexible support
- meet a skilled and empathetic team with lived experience of veteran life
- use wellbeing services available in-person or by phone.
More information about the Hub
All veterans, their families, and those currently, or looking to, work within service provision to veterans are invited to come make our customised dual-purpose space their own.
Enter from King Street into our social connections space, where you will be able to sit and relax, have a chat over a coffee, play games or music, read, and make use of our commercial kitchen. The Hub is a family friendly space designed for young or old to access.
Enter from the carpark entrance at the back, and you will be met by our team for appointments, education or training sessions.
The Hub is open to all current, and former serving ADF members, including reservists; plus their families or carers, and those looking to support veterans.
If you’d like to drop by for a cuppa and a chat or find out how you can be involved, simply visit us, call, or email!
If you live in the Sunshine Coast, City of Moreton Bay or Brisbane North and would like to engage with one of our case managers, please drop in, give us a call or email. You don’t need a referral to use the Hub and its community services, but if you’d like to send us more information prior to your visit you can do so here.
At Lives Lived Well, we have been really considered about the people we have working at our Veterans’ and Families’ Wellbeing Hub. Each one is extremely committed to creating a space that is purposeful and positive.
Our staff have veteran lived, or learnt, experience, and are highly trained in wellbeing case management, with strong connections with ex-service organisations across northern Brisbane.
We can provide services in a number of ways: face to face, in either our social connections space, our group rooms, or a private area; over the phone; or even outdoors.
Three pillars are central to the provision of our service: Social Connection, Health, and Wellbeing.
We understand that each of these can have multiple layers that underpins them; that’s why we’re creating a service model that is all encompassing, that we can individualise specifically for you.
Our role is to help guide you through whatever is needed, whilst creating a partnership that you can trust. We can provide learning opportunities, connect you with others, and our Wellbeing Case Managers can help you every step of the way.
We actively partner with Ex-Service Organisations and key agencies, ensuring wrap around support for veterans and their families. Additionally, the Hub offers other services as needed, such as employment, housing, transition support, and advocacy.
Our Hub offers opportunities for collaborative relationships, co-location, renting counselling rooms, group rooms, or using the social space, including a commercial kitchen. For enquiries, phone us on 1300 727 957 or email [email protected].
If you’re a service provider or health professional looking to refer one of your clients to us, you can do so here.
