We’re dedicated to helping others, no matter how difficult or complex the challenge.

Our specialised team of mental health clinicians provides free support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples aged 12+ across the Northern NSW region.

The team is based at 133 Ballina St in East Lismore and also visits locations across the region, including Ballina, Wardell, Cabbage Tree Island, Lismore and surrounding areas. We can meet you at a convenient location, on a day and time that suits you.

About the service

Our Strong Community clinicians can provide culturally appropriate support to help you address mental health challenges. Our supports will be integral to healing people, families, kinship networks and communities.

We will work with you to develop strategies to better understand and manage the impacts of difficult life experiences. Our focus is on empowering your recovery and building resilience.

Our clinicians will meet with you 1:1 or with you and your family/carers. Most appointments run for 1-2 hours. All services are free.

How do I get started?

Give us a call on 1300 727 957 and we can answer your questions. If you are already linked in with a regular GP or any other health care professional who knows you well, they can complete a referral on your behalf. Please let us know if you would first like to speak or meet with a Mental Health Clinician to learn more about the service.

How much does it cost?

Strong Community is a free mental health support service.
