COVID-19 Response – We’re still here for you

On Tuesday 24 March 2020, we shifted to providing telephone and online counselling and support, temporarily ceasing face-to-face sessions. This is for all our programs including individual and group support. To make a telephone or online appointment, get in touch with your current case manager or counsellor. If you are a new client, give us a call or fill out the referral form by clicking on “Enquire Now” in above menu options.

Are alcohol or drugs becoming a problem? We can help . . .

Our professional team can help you to break the cycle of problematic alcohol or drugs, regain control of your life and reach your potential to enjoy a full and rewarding life.

We provide:

  • individual on-site counselling
  • phone counselling to people all over Queensland, including remote and regional areas during normal office hours, Monday to Friday.
  • group counselling sessions.

Free, flexible one-on-one counselling and group sessions are available through our range of Service Hubs located across.

We work with you to identify if you have a problem with drugs or alcohol, its extent and what’s behind it. We then support you and give you the tools to manage, reduce or stop your alcohol or drug misuse.

Worried about a family member or friend who is misusing drugs or alcohol? We can provide you with support so that you feel better placed to cope and support your loved one. Sometimes just talking to someone who doesn’t know the person, can help.

Do you need support for Alcohol and Other Drugs and Gambling?

We find that people who come to us for alcohol and drug counselling may also have concerns around gambling and the significance of this may not be understood or is minimised and hidden as not that important by the person and by others. By adding gambling support to your alcohol and other drugs counselling plan, you are more likely to achieve long-lasting recovery.

Your alcohol and drug counsellor has tools that can help identify your level of risk around gambling. If you want to know more, ask your Lives Lived Well counsellor about checking for the hidden impacts of gambling. They can assist you and put you in contact with the gambling intervention counsellor for specific gambling support.

Our Gambling Intervention Service is delivered to clients who are engaged with our alcohol and drug services at Lives Lived Well sites in Brisbane, Gold Coast, Townsville and Rockhampton. To find out more, download our flyer. (For crisis support outside business hours, the National Gambling Help Line is available 24/7, phone 1800 858 858)
