Strong Community Aboriginal Resilient Kids Program
Important: Referrals ceasing for Strong Community Aboriginal Resilient Kids Program
We would like to formally advise that Lives Lived Well’s Strong Community Aboriginal Resilient Kids Program will cease operations on 30 June 2025 due to the end of program funding.
The program, funded by Healthy North Coast through the Australian Government, has delivered culturally appropriate and accessible mental health and wellbeing support to Aboriginal children and young people across the Northern Rivers region.
We will stop accepting new referrals from 24 April 2025. Our team will continue working with existing clients until the end of June and, where possible, will provide information on alternative local services and supports.
In addition, Medicare Mental Health is available in our region and operated by trained mental health workers who offer information and support to connect to local mental health and wellbeing services. You can call Medicare Mental Health on 1800 595 212. This free phone service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
While this program is concluding, our commitment to supporting the wellbeing of young people and communities remains strong. We welcome the opportunity to stay involved in local discussions about service needs and how best to support Aboriginal children and young people across the region.
If you have any questions or concerns about these changes, please feel free to reach out to us. You can call 0456 447 790 or email [email protected].
Thank you for your support throughout the life of this program and for your understanding as we navigate these changes together.
