Want to help prevent alcohol harms in your community? We do too.

Act on Alcohol is a new service, working to support Queensland communities to address alcohol-related harm.

Our team has experience in community engagement and development, health promotion, social marketing, social media and project planning. We also have a wealth of knowledge around how and who to connect with in local communities to enable you to take action.

What we’re offering

We offer a range of advice, tips and tools to support you to Act on Alcohol. We’ll help you through the process of:

  • understanding local needs and issues
  • linking with other key stakeholders in your community
  • finding and implementing local-level solutions.

You can access any of our free resources by giving us a call or sending us an email.

We provide:

  • an information phone service
  • community case management
  • advice and referrals.

We also provide a website containing a range of tools, strategies, resources and related links – all focused on prevention of alcohol-related harm.

We are calling communities to action

There are lots of things you can do to reduce the impact of alcohol in your community, either as an individual or together with like-minded people.

It could be as simple as thinking about your relationship with alcohol, or you could make more of a commitment by getting actively involved in community action.
